Meet Dr. Michael Henry
Dr. Henry has been practicing oral surgery in Coquitlam since 1995. He is originally from St. Albert, Alberta and attended the University of Alberta for his undergraduate degree. He graduated from Dentistry in 1989 as class Valedictorian and went on to spend a year practicing hospital-based dentistry at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He subsequently was accepted into the four year residency program in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Henry is affiliated with hospitals within the Fraser Health System, where he provides services for complex surgical/medical patients. Dr. Henry has enjoyed working in volunteer roles at the College of Dental Surgeons of BC, most recently he is serving as chair of the Anesthesia Accreditation Committee. He was recently awarded Certificate of Merit for his contributions to the profession.
Dr. Henry is a past president of both the BC Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and BC Dental Specialist Society, and is a certified specialist in the province.
In addition to the above profession organizations he is also a member of the Canadian Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the Canadian Dental Association and the BC Dental Association.
In his leisure time, Dr. Henry enjoys spending time with his family at their recreation property in the Gulf Islands.
